The Linz International Short Film Festival toke place from September 20 to 25, 2021, for the fourth time hybrid in Linz, Upper Austria, in the cinemas of the Kunstuniversität Linz as well as online. The Kunstuni in close proximity to the main square served as the primary meeting point where all festival visitors will gathered for various program events. 87 short films from all over the world were in the official film competition at the 4th Linz ISFF.
The Linz ISFF is very proud that more than half of the selected films (55%) come from female filmmakers, which is unfortunately not a matter of course in an industry that is still dominated by men.
